EUROPEAN MINIBIKE MOTARD CUP RULES – Vransko-Slovenia 21-22 August 2010
Art-1-ELIGIBLE RIDERS 1.1- Riders in possession of a Licence issued by the FMI (Italian Motorcycle Federation) are eligible to participate 1.2- Riders belonging to an EMU member Federation in possession of a national license issued by an EMU European country and in possession of an authorization issued by the Rider's Federation are eligible to participate.
Art. 2-CHAMPIONSHIP (2010) 2.1- Single leg, 1 race (2 rounds) for category
Art.3- ENGINE DISPLACEMENT AND CATEGORIES 3.1- a) 12 MB Open minibike motard from 125cc to 185cc numberplates with black backgrounds and white numbers
3.2- a) 12 ROOKIE -BOYMOTARD STOCK (9 to 14 years old) minibike from 90cc to 150cc number plates with blue backgrounds and white numbers
Art.4- REGISTRATION FEE 4.1-Registration must be made on the special form and sent by fax along with the receipt of payment of the € 120.00 registration fee. Art.5-PARTNERS OF THE EUROPE CUP 5.1-All Riders registered for the European Minibike Motard Cup must display a maximum of 9 logos supplied by the organization on the numberplates on their bikes, 3 of which are FXAction logos, 3 are EMU logos and 3 are the sponsor's logos. 5.2-The logos must be placed on both sides of the bike and on the front as indicated in the diagram that will be produced during the inspection process. 5.3- The race vest supplied by the organization must be worn after the timed trials.
Art.6- TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS 6.1-After the preliminary operations for the technical inspections the bikes must be presented with no prior identification markings and with the assigned race number. 6.2-Each Rider can mark up to two bikes of the same brand to be used indiscriminately throughout the event as long as they are always in the category and displacement for which the Rider is registered.
Art.7- COMPETITIONS 7.1- The free trials (10 minutes) take place after the preliminary operations and technical inspections are conducted. The timed trials (10 minutes) take place after the free trials subdividing the groups by drawing lots. Depending on the times obtained in the trials the Riders will be divided into several final rounds, dividing the groups based on the times achieved by the groups in the timed trials, for example, A-B-C and so on. 7.2-The race will be based on two final rounds, Race 1 and Race 2 for each group and for each category, the maximum number of Riders allowed at the start will depend on its capacity. Each race lasts 10 minutes +2 laps. 7.3-All bikes must be in the Waiting Zone 10 minutes before the scheduled start of each race. After this period the Waiting Zone will be closed and will no longer be accessible. Therefore, late arrivals will result in exclusion from the race in question.
Art.8-FINAL INSPECTIONS 8.1-After each race the marking of the bikes of the first 5 Riders classified will be inspected, while after the last race the first 5 Riders of Race 1 and the first 5 Riders of Race 2 must remain in a closed waiting zone for 30 minutes available to the event officials in charge of the inspections.
Art.9-SCORE ASSIGNMENT 9.1-Points will be assigned only to Riders who have completed at least 50% of the laps completed by the winner (rounded down).
Art.10-PRIZES 10.1-The first 5 Riders classified in each category will be awarded with trophies and plaques. The top winner of the seven categories according to Art.2-3.1-3.2- will be awarded the UEM European Cup.
Art.11-MINIBIKE MOTARD SPECIFICATIONS 11.1-General characteristics a) MB Open-4-stroke engine mounted on a cantilever swingarm, with maximum displacement of 185cc, featuring a single horizontal cylinder and single over head camshaft. BOYMOTARD Stock-4 -stroke engine YX or Lifan model, munted on cantilever swingarm, with maximun displacement of 150cc, featuring a single horizontal cylinder and single over head camshaft. b) The carburetor MB Open diameter max.28, the carburetor BOYMOTARD Stock max. 26. 11.2-General specifications a) The only fuel permitted is unleaded petrol normally available in gas stations along the road network. b) No casings and/or fairings are allowed c) The minimum weight allowed without fuel is 60 Kg d) The fenders and the rear part of the saddle must have rounded shapes. 11.3 Bike specifications a) The maximum wheelbase allowed is 120 cm b) The maximum height of the saddle allowed, measured from the highest point, must not exceed 82 cm (measured with the bike on its wheels, unloaded and fully extended) c) The handlebars must feature the maximum size like for minicross d) Control levers must have ball ends with a minimum diameter of 16-19 mm. e) The accelerator must return to the idle position when released by the Rider. 11.4-Wheels a) The maximum diameter of the front wheel rim is 12" b) The maximum diameter of the rear wheel rim is 12" c) Only Motard tires are allowed (SAVA MODEL with logo FXAction) d) Suspensions can be freely chosen by type and dimensions e) Footrests cannot be fixed and shall be fitted with a device that automatically returns them to the folded position when released; they must also have rounded ends with a minimum diameter of 16 mm. 11.5-FRAME Only open cradle type frames are allowed 11.6-ENGINE a) MB OPEN, all parts can be processed, modified and/or replaced with aftermarket or customized parts. BOYMOTARD STOCK original engine YX or Lifan model, all parts can not be processed, modified and/or replaced with aftermarket or customized parts. b) The air filter can be open or closed. c) The gear shift shall have a maximum of 4 speeds d) The exhaust system can be freely chosen, the end should not be positioned perpendicularly with respect to the rear contour of the bike. e) The maximum sound level must not exceed 94 dB. The measurement of the number of revolutions is carried out in relation to the piston stroke. f)For all categories it's obligatory pneumatics SAVA model with logo FXAction.
g)LIGHTINGS: In the category MB Open the lightings are free. In the category Boymotard Stock the admitted lightings are alone those original of first equipment or others authorized and exclusively deposited from the Promoter and in every case not mappabili and analogical. h)PROTECTIONS: I am obbligatorie the protections as from rule Supermoto, recovery liquid, protections in teflon sottopedana, pivot rotates anterior and back. I am besides obbligatorie protections for the pilot, whole overall in skin, paraschiena, gloves, boots and confirmed helmet as from norms FIM.
Art.12- COMMON RULES 12.1- For anything not foreseen by the rules contained in this document, as applicable, the Supermoto Rules, general rules and general sporting rules shall be applied.
